Seattle, WA - January 2, 2008 - Today, the Sustainability Store is featuring SolaceScents on their homepage, www.sustainabilitystore.com.  This website is a “source for thousands of products and services promoting a sustainable world”.  According to their definition, “the terms Sustainable and Sustainability are used to describe many different approaches toward improving our way of life.”  How does Sustainability Store reach this lofty goal?  Founded in 1999 by John Aebi-Magee (founder of Earth Care Paper Inc.), “the businesses and associations in Sustainability Store strive to be responsible to their workers, their communities, their customers and the environment.”  SolaceScents had practiced this by providing Fair Trade, Wildcrafted and Organic Ingredients, by making a commitment to never test on animals.
 
SolaceScents is honored to be their featured store today, January 2, 2008, and according to its founder, Carol Walter, is extremely proud to be a permanent part of the Sustainability Store community, which according to the store, “features retailers, service providers and organizations who are leaders in environmental and social responsibility.”  Walter says, “It’s wonderful that there are organizations available on the web today like the Sustainability Store that support the future of our environment and include access to so many (albeit small) independent, environmentally ethical and responsible companies”.  There are many businesses to select from on the store’s website including natural soaps, organic cotton clothing, footwear, hemp products, crafts, books, baby products, toys, artwork, jewelry, body care, kitchen supplies, office supply, recycled paper products, imported gifts and more.

For the Holidays, I’ve had a lot of fun creating signature scents for 10 clients.  My favorite was for Erik, my boyfriend for Christmas.  I knew exactly what he would like and what his goals are so it was ideal for creating the best scent possible.  Here is a picture of it bottled in a nice antique cologne bottle.   My most recent signature scent client lives in Texas - she was able to travel to Seattle recently and we met up at Tenzing Momo where we had fun smelling all the various essential oils as well as some fragrance oils.  My goal was to confirm the scents that I thought she would like based on her phone interview when she told me which commcercial perfumes and scents she enjoyed and what her life goals were.  I will be sending her three samples - the top, middle and base notes of her signature scents - in the next week and we will decide from there what the best combination will be.
